Frequently Asked Questions

Problems

Q: Your links don't work!
A: Questions of this type fall under two categories.  If after clicking on the link you get a screen filled with weird characters, try using "Save as" or "Save link as" with your browser.  That should solve the problem.  On the other hand if you click the link and it says "File not found", then it is MUCH more serious.  Please notify me ASAP!

Q: I downloaded the file, but I can't play it!
A: Most likely, you downloaded directly with your browser.  If when downloading the connection to the file drops, the browser may assume the download's finished when in fact it's not.  Try using a download manager like Getright which can resume broken downloads.  Unless you set it to handle .ra and .rm files, you may need to use the "Enter New URL" function in Getright.  Highly recommended method for downloading.  Get it at www.getright.com

Q: Why RealAudio?
A: There's two reasons.  Firstly, because I have a limited amount of space.  Secondly, RealAudio provides decent quality at a very small file size which is perfect for visitors to evaluate the music before buying the CDs.  Plus, they'll fit on most free web space hosting accounts.  MP3 albums will go on myspace.com/freediskspace.com accounts (see below).

Q: Why RealVideo?
A: Through my expirementations, I have discovered that RealVideo offers the best Quality-to-compression ratio of many formats including .mpg and .mov, as long as you don't decide to play it full screen.  As an example, one of the FF trailers in .mov format was about 500KB, but with RealVideo, it was only 50KB and the quality is almost identical.  You may request the original files (see below).

Q: How do I access files located on myspace.com/freediskspace.com accounts?
A: First you'll need an account with them.  Then you just go to the folder, enter you account login, password, and the folder password, which should always be my site's url.  There is a limit on how much data can be transferred per day, so if you can't access it, try again tomorrow.  If you can come up with a better solution to put up large files, let me know.

Q: Do you do requests?
A: Yes.  Here's the deal.  If I have it, and I have the time, I'll put it up.  In return, I want more space to put files on.  For requests <20MB, you need to get me an nbci.com account.  For files >20MB, you'll need to sign up for one of those 300 MB accounts at myspace.com or freediskspace.com (same thing).  What this means is that you create the account, and send me the login and password, and after that, your account is mine!  Muwahahaha!  Anyway, I consider it a fair deal.

The Webmaster

Q: What's your real name?
A: Withheld for privacy, but you can check it on ICQ.

Q: How'd you come up with Dracil Cegon?
A: Long ago, when Final Fantasy IV (or II on the SNES) was still popular, I combined the main character's name, "Cecil", with something I really liked, dragons to get this name.  It's use it online because it's a unique name so I don't get duplicate naming during registrations.

Q: How old are you?
A: 18

Q: Are you male or female?
A: Male, and single too, if you care, which I doubt, not that it matters.

Q: What's your favorite anime and game?
A: I like lots of anime, but have a tendency towards those with Megumi Hayashibara in it.  Coincidence or not, I don't know.  For favorite game, I also have many, but I lean towards RPG, SLG, and fighting games if there's someone to play against.  Live a Live and Chrono Trigger and FF6 were quite good.  I also liked the two special YuYu Hakusho games on the Super Famicom that has all the character attacks animated.  PC games.... RTS, and FPS with my current favorite Unreal Tournament.  Waiting for Diablo II.  I've also played all 3 Princess Maker games on the PC...

Q: What's your least favorite game and anime?
A: Anything to do with Pokemon.  I'm sometimes (but not always) anti anything that's wildly popular because it gets annoying when you see it everywhere you go.  Besides, I'm too old for it, and it cuts into Magic: the Gathering sales.
